Set up SendGrid
Create SendGrid account by visiting: https://signup.sendgrid.com/
Verify sender
Click here and follow instructions to verify sender.
Create api key
Click here and follow instructions to create api key.
Configure SendGrid
Steps:
From your Shopespot admin, go to Configuration -> Setting -> SendGrid Settings
Enter api key provided by SendGrid
Click on the Save button
Update contact list
Steps:
From your Shopespot admin, go to Marketing -> Contacts -> View All Contact Lists
Scroll to the contact list that you want to update
Click on the edit button in Action column
Update information as per your requirements
Click on the Update button
Delete contact list
Steps:
From your Shopespot admin, go to Marketing -> Contacts -> View All Contact Lists
Scroll to the contact list that you want to delete
Click on the Delete List button in Action column
Popup will appear asking Are you sure?, press Yes, delete it! button if you want to delete it, otherwise press No, cancel! button
Add Contact List
Steps:
From your Shopespot admin, go to Marketing -> Contacts -> View All Contact Lists
Click on the Add List button on top right corner
Set title
Set status to active if you want to enable this contact otherwise select inactive
Click on the Submit button
Create email campaign
Steps:
From your Shopespot admin, go to Marketing -> Email Campaigns
Click on the + button on top right corner
A popup will appear
Select email template
You will be redirected to the Add Email Campaign page
Select member group
Set email subject
Modify email content based on your needs
Select send type to:
Manual: if you want to send emails immediately or manually
Scheduled: if you want to schedule emails at specific date and time
Event: if you want to send emails based on following events:
Discount reminder, new purchaser, repeat purchaser, review request, lapsed purchaser, blog post announcement
Click on the Submit button
Steps:
From your Shopespot admin, go to Marketing -> Member Groups -> Add Member Group
Set group name
Set status to active if you want to enable this member group otherwise select inactive
Optionally you can filter members
Click on the Apply Filter button
A popup for applying filters will appear
Check the checkbox next to the filter that you want to apply
Set value for the filter
Set comparison type if required
Click on the Apply button
Select members that you want to add to this group
Click on the Submit button.
